Our STEM outreach was on July 30th. We effectively taught STEM values to kids and teens through multiple classes and seminars with direct applications in FLL and FTC. We were also able to present our progress in the MoonBots competition, which was received very well. The kids got an opportunity not only to drive our MoonBots, but also to make and program their own Lego robots. Additionally, the teens got in-depth training in robot design, RobotC programming software, and PTC CAD software, all of which we used to create our MoonBots. All students that participated are now planning to join FIRST robotics next season. Our event will have a lasting and continuing effect on these kids and teens by giving them a jump start into an impactful STEM education program.
